SHIPPING STUFF HOME
* The local post office. This office is located 5 minutes from here (write down instructions on how to walk there) and is open Monday –Friday, 8.30am to 12.30 only. Get a small box at the tabacchi and bring it to the postal office (you cannot ship your luggage from there). Once you get there you will have to fill out some paperwork so give yourself at least one hour to do so. We strongly suggest you take care of this no later than Thursday as the postal office gets crowded at the end of the week. Remember to bring your passport as they might request and ID. Please note that the postal office service is quite slow so we recommend this option only if you are sending items that you do not need urgently when you get home.
* The mail box Etc office in Bassano del Grappa located in P.le Cadorna 20. Phone number 0424 521677. Open 9-12 and 3.30-6.30 mon-sat. If you arrange for a group of people this office might be able to send you a van to take you and all your friends there. They can provide boxes and they can ship also pieces of luggage. Staff there usually speak English. This is the fastest and more reliable way to ship things home so we recommend you use this against the postal office. We have maps in the office to reach the Mail Box Etc location, they will be at the front desk.
*The CIMBA UG Office will be able to ship your belongings ONLY IF YOU HAVE A PERSONAL FEDEX ACCOUNT. Come by the office with your FedEx account number as well as the box/luggage you want to ship. Depending on the items you want to ship there will be several forms you need to fill out so plan at least 15-20 minutes to take care of this process.
